MINECON Earth is officially over. But before I go into hibernation (until planning begins for next year's MINECON, of course), I've put together an easy summary of everything we discussed and announced during the event. If you missed the livestream, don't worry! We'll soon have the complete show online and I'll update the story when I can. The Update Aquatic Minecraft's oceans are going to receive the biggest update they've ever had! The Update Aquatic The game introduces many new features to the game, including coral, kelp, other kinds of fish, dolphins, explorable shipwrecks that can be explored, new water physics and much more! The Update Aquatic will introduce the trident, a brand new weapon that can be used to defend yourself against the sea with a completely revamped environment. It can also be used to attack enemies, but it can also be thrown at them. And In close-combat, it is also a great weapon for strategic advantages. The Loyalty enchantment will make it come back to you even after you've thrown it, while enchantments such as Impaler And Slipstream Dash We'll let your imagination run wild! The Update Aquatic It will be added to Minecraft in an upcoming update. FREE CONTENT FOR MARKETPLACES To celebrate MINECON Earth We're giving away a variety of items of Marketplace content! You can find out more information about these giveaways by clicking here. NEW MINECRAFT SERVER The Hive is our newest server partner! They're bringing their fantastic mini-game Death Run It will be coming to Minecraft later this year. Death Run is a race that requires players to overcome obstacles and avoid traps in order to be the first to complete the map. Start practising your running skills today to be ready, as Death Run on The Hive will be coming to Minecraft very soon. NINTENDO SWITCH & SUPER DUPER GRAPHICS We'd also like you to be informed about the Super Duper Graphics package. While it was originally scheduled to launch this year, there's a lot of work to be done yet and we're unlikely to be ready to launch it in 2017. Gaming We'll be releasing Super Duper next year, and we'll be releasing more information to share on Minecraft.net in the near future. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch community will still receive the latest version of Minecraft with cross-platform multiplayer, but only until 2018. We are grateful to Nintendo for being an excellent partner. However, we have to ensure that Switch users have the best experience they can get. The new version of Minecraft will now be coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Xbox One, PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch, all playing multiplayer Minecraft together in 2018 - I'm getting emotional just thinking about it... MOB B IS COMING TO MINECRAFT! We have one winner!
